. (During the Olympics our red mittens & ‘Canada’ garb even got their own shelf). Its dark cubbies worked to my benefit: whenever guests were imminent, we could throw any/all clutter at Expedit and it would gladly swallow it whole. It keeps its murky secrets well. Temporarily, Expedit worked as a buffer between living and dining areas, keeping our spaces separate and our sanity in tact. Still, its presence rankled.
