Dorm Decor Bedding

What are some of the not so obvious essentials to have in your dorm. I have bedding storage, decor but what else really helped u out or did u love having in your dorm, maybe something that made u feel more at home??? Thankyou soooo much.

We had huge, tall windows. When I added some curtains I brought from home, it made my room different and more homey. I loved those curtains.
