A Small Home Improvement Loan Can Sell Your Homeā¦and Make You Money
The United States is deep into a housing slump which means that a lot of people are trying to sell their home but having a difficult time doing so. There are basically more homes for sale than there are home buyers right now, which means that home sellers have to lower their asking prices just to get people interested in their home. Lower home prices mean that people selling homes are not making as much of a profit off their home sale as they’d like.
First, home sellers should look around their area to see what prices similar homes are selling for. This can be done by simply driving around the neighborhood and looking for home sale signs, but it is better to use several different real estate websites and look for homes for sale in your surrounding area. Real estate websites will not only give you the price of the other homes for sale, but many will also list key features and upgrades the home might have as well as offer interior and exterior photos of the home that may not be seen from a simple drive-by.

Ever since I first appeared on TV as a fix-it girl (circa 1997), people have been asking me one question over and over again.
“How do I get started in DIY, and what tools do I need?”
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a university student with no shelving, or a widow with a leaky faucet. DIY starts with one thing — desire.
And there’s one other item you need in addition to desire. You need a tiny spark in your personality, just a twitch of irritation; a cranky little voice that says, “Well phooey (adjust strength of expletive to suit your personality), I’m not paying someone to do this; how hard can it be?”
If you have that degree of crackle in your personality, the DIY world is your oyster, and you are a championship shucker.
Of course some people’s DIY careers end dramatically a few seconds before they actually begin. They’re the folks who either don’t have the right tools, or who haven’t got a mentor to see them through the early stages of (unwarranted) self-doubt and fear, OR (also unwarranted) over-confidence and bravado.
