3-panel Black Wood Shoji Screen / Room Divider Review
Better quality than expected, all the hinges and screws were assembled tightly and packed well.Usually overlooked unless you've dealt with Shoji before the screws and hinges between each panel are often skimped on (bigtime) and must be inspected before purchase.I was hanging these for window treatments so my fingers were crossed but I expected to see the same level of crap as Pier One and the like.Happy to say that the hinges are actually seated and aligned properly with every screw in three screens tightened magically uniform. Beautiful black wood framed divider/screen. Gain additional privacy by dividing up a room or use as a decorative accent piece. Great for dorm rooms. Also great in the bedroom to create a private dressing area. The wood trim is solid with Shoji paper insert. Shoji is a translucent, smooth textured vinyl coated fiberglass that looks like rice paper. This 3 panel screen folds up for easy movement and storage. Great as a gift. No assembly required. There is adequate funding from UEZ and other sources to move forward with improvements. At West End Park the gazebo band stand for summer concerts is being relocated to the southeast corned of the lawn area. Concert enthusiasts will enjoy a better view. Work began Wednesday.
Some West end restaurants opposite West End Park have already had outside tables since the inconsistent but better weather arrived. More of that will be seen over the next few weeks as temps warm up.
The new pavilion at Manahassett Park with refreshment stand and public facilities is now available. It held the Little League Openers last weekend.

The Broadway Band shell at Union Avenue will have more evenings of music this summer, a popular treat for residents and visitors. The public musicals at Pier Village have been scheduled.
